The economic situation we find ourselves in is the one time I don't appreciate good irony.
Republican tax cuts led to big deficits. Republican lack of oversite on financial institutions led to the mortgage meltdown. Republican have chanted for as long as I've been alive about less spending. They had Congress and the White House for six years and spent more.
It's time these people just shut the f#ck up because the irony is that the party of less spending and less regulation has brought our Country to a point where the only way to get the economy and financial industry back on track is more spending and more regulation.
Enough with the tax cut bullshit. A federal government that pays for the services it provides in cash will do more for the economy and our security than giving me a $500 check.

I'm with you, $500 is going to do squat for most people. If you owe thousands in credit card debt and your mortgage is backed up three months, what are a few pearls?
I want my government to get serious in providing a stimulus package that will actually STIMULATE the economy! No quick fixes here - pull all the pork out of that mess in Congress and let's get this done.
These pols continue to treat the people as if they were all dull witted buffoons, eager for a few scraps - are we a minority? Seems like the last election says no.
A poor economy lead to large deficits. Tax cuts stimulate the economy.
BTW. I added you to my left blog roll. I don't agree with you usually, but you are not insane. That is a very backhanded compliment. LOL.
Sorry IR. But when have tax cuts led to a good economy? Economy sucked under Reagan and BushI for middle class and lower. It was good under Clinton and I don't recall a bunch of tax cuts. This Bush had tax cuts and the economy sucks now. I make a connection with Bush policy and bad economy.
You're a sharp and sane man. What is leading you to think tax cuts have done anything good?
You're linked also. You're one of three sensible Conservatives I've come across. There's a misnomer. "Sensible Conservative." Heh heh heh.
I don't want Obama to fail, but I'm sure that he will.
Obamna picked a tough time to get elected jcila. But I think he learned from errors and misjudgements made by the Carter Administration.
Thanks for the visit.
