THESE REPUBLICANS COULD SELL CRAP TO AN AVON LADY

Having spent half of my working life as a commission salesperson, I can appreciate the sales ability of the republicans.
The republican agenda benefits perhaps two percent of America. Yet millions of people vote against their own interests because some guy with a radio show convinced them that tax cuts for the wealthiest is good for them. That trillions in debt will "starve the beast" and lead to freedom. These morons then complain to anyone with a microphone that their freedom is being suppressed while they're freely assembling on public property during a tea party.
The latest rehash of republican chicanery and salesmanship is the estate tax. Or as the chief jive turkey republicans call it, the "death tax."
Republican senators have been decrying this as a tax on the dead. The idiots that bought into their tea party crap are buying this nonsense hook, line and sinker also. If the dead guy was so worried about his heirs then he would have estate planning, trusts and life insurance plans in place. If not then he probably thinks the people that want his money are unworthy idiots. Or he is just an asshole.
No doubt, there is an idiot like Joe the faux plumber someplace waiting to tell another idiot with a microphone that he doesn't want to inherit anything because the government will tax it away from him. Even though at least 98% of us will never have to deal with estate taxes because the estate has to be worth at least 3.5 million dollars.
In case any righties are reading, please think about this. None of you are worth 3.5 million dollars. You are once again being duped into supporting policies that only benefit the most privileged among us. And not even the people that worked for the money but those that would get it not because of their hard work. But because the hardest work they ever did was when half their chromosomes were in a sperm that was the fastest and luckiest sperm to the egg. And for that the republicans have millions of deluded, tea bagging fools that the luckiest sperm deserves millions tax free.

Ah, Truth, buddy ol' pal! You have truly drove a whole truck full of honesty into the brick wall of stupidity!

I have been watching a special about "Google" and I find it fascinating how much they know about each and every one of us!

What about our banks, our credit cards, and our health insurance providers?

Yet, whenever the right starts waving the banner of "Individual Liberty and Freedom" I cannot help but wonder who is going to free us from the enslavement of the economic powers that be?

The truth of the matter is most of the folks on the internet who pimp a daily barrage of anti-Obama, pro Fox News, and sing, "isn't she lovely.." to Sarah Palin are either malcontents who just want to annoy the majority or they are paid political hacks....

Oh, and what would you do for a dollar?

or just plain stupid.

I'd pose nude to protect trees in that calendar featured on Hello . . . Mr. President

Matt Taibbi recently described this as the peasant mentality. As in, the peasants are fighting to have the ruling class's privileges maintained.

My real problem is with the idiots who support the republicans and receive no benefit at all TAO.

They choose to be ignorant.

And you know TAO. Most of us could most likely argue the side of the right better than most of the righties that visit our blogs. My email is on the front page if Rove or Cheney want to wave some greenbacks in my face.

Truth101,
You have identified the huge paradoxes which make up the GOP and especially those who today call themselves "conservative" today. Time and again, they vote to send money to the rich and powerful, and they fall for the Republican lie and political tool, abortion, which the GOP uses to get elected and then does nothing about. It's the old carrot on a stick game, and they never get the carrot, but these idiots keep playing the game. The thought that they want to do away with ANY taxes (especially on the rich) at this time of great need and great deficitis absolutely infuriating; that they want to lessen or do away with the estate tax (which only benefits the wealthy and lazy, privileged trust-funders); and actually oppose higher taxes on the highest incomes (which keep rising and rising at OUR expense) is complete and utter lunacy. But there they are, out protesting against, in effect, THEMSELVES and the only hope they have against being further screwed by the wealthy elite, and they do so with tea on the brain and talk of taking the country back. These are insane times in which we live...

All these average income peasants who are doing all the grunt work for the mega-rich would not be tea-bagging if McCain/Palin had won the election. They would have bailed the banks out, they would have surged into Afghanistan a lot sooner, they might have helped GM out, they wouldn't have done squat about health care but they would have run the deficit up in their own way. Fox and their radio cohorts would have been championing them from the roof-tops. It's all about Obama.

They are a violent buch Jerry. They always talk about kiling jobs and babies and slashing things. Their supply side trickle down nonsense slowly kills our economy.

On the other hand, their duped minions that benefit nothing from republican policies, are almost worthy of admiration for their deluded spartan devotion. No matter the pain of no jod r health insurance, they still turn up at tea parties to shout the old right wing blather. Good soldiers they are.

Truthfully, I only know two conservatives on the internet, LAOT, dmarks, and Rational Nation, then you have a bunch of reactionary right wing malcontented trolls, and then a whole bunch of conservative blogs who are just paid mouthpieces...or paid to be malcontents...

That means that that one will never have a serious debate on the internet where one can see 'liberals vs conservatives' in action...

We tried that here on healthcare and got absolutely nothing...

Our political beliefs have become like coccoons...

Not real sure if you can call them beliefs if you cannot defend them, discuss them but rather attempt to protect them....

JoMala "Truth 101" Kelly said...

I've always been pragmatic and self aware. Far too many on the right have no clue why they are righties and can't defend their positions other than using catch phrases and words like freedom, flag, family and socialist.

They don't even understand that most of us who call ourselves Democrats or republicans do so because that's what our parents are.

To thine own self one must be true. But republicans are happy living lies so in a sense, the truth would make them realize they are miserable liars.

@Jack,
I hear you
-but they're not "paradoxes" in my opinion, they are hypocrisies.
This is the same group of people who can with one side of their mouths talk about George W. Bush as a "man of the people," and "down to earth," (he was the son of a President for Christ's sake and a Yale graduate who was born impossibly rich) and can call President Obama, Senator Kerry, Al Gore and former President Clinton "elitists" with the other side of their mouths.

Sure there's stupidity among the rank and file GOP, but most of it is willful, self-imposed ignorance on the issues, and a stubborn defiance of reality in general.

I've come to the realization neither major political party or their adherents have a lock on stupidity OR hypocrisy.

There is proof aplenty to lead one to this conclusion.
