GOOD HELP IS HARD TO FIND

One of my few experiences in management left me truly appreciative of employees that don't need their freaking hands held while thet're doing their jobs. The best managers have the best employees.

That brings me to President Obama and is dilemma since he took office.

Everywhere I look, some newscaster, pundit, blogger, senator, congressman, the guy that changes my oil, says the President needs to talk to us about whatever the hell the issue of the day is.

Health care reform: Every freaking useless Democrat in Congress demanded Obama do more to get this or that in the bill. Listen you useless, ineffective impotent bunch of clowns. Do your fucking jobs! The President told you all what he wanted. If you can't do your fucking jobs and get it, get off his ass and look in the mirror.

Because of apathy or turf wars or some goddamned nonsense, the "dick bomber" was able to get on a plane. Now the President has to spend the vast part of his time which is the most valuble thing in the world cleaning up a mess made by fucking apathetic idiots.

I don't ask for anything unreasonable. I don't give a rats ass about how many times the floor was mopped or the windows washed. Just do the minimum well and everything will be fine.

People did drop the ball and several need to be fired. If the people in qusetion are unionized and whoever negotiated the contract failed to bargain for a management right to fire for incompetence, then that shithead needs to be fired.

I for one am sick of everyone saying the President needs to step forward and "speak to the American People" about everything from God to what laundry detergent he uses. When our leader over exposes himself on every issue it diminishes his effectiveness at the bully pulpit.

The next time someone says "The President needs to do more" I hope he/she gets off his own sorry ass and does something for a change.

People are good at telling others what to do while they do nothing.

I have been saying this over and over.. maybe they will listen to you...lol Especially the idiots in Congress.. it is their responsibility to write the bills, not the President.. that's what I keep telling the people who are yelling he hasn't fixed DADT and DOMA.. Congress needs to write it and send it to him.. he has asked for it several times.. and they keep passing the buck.. all he wants is for them to write it and put it on his desk.

I think if I was a Democrat I'd be pissed too. Here you have the White House, a large majority in the House, and a filibuster proof Senate, and you still can't get your healthcare legislation passed.

As it is, I'm happy.

So why are you in this fix? I think Obama and the Dems have bitten off more than they can chew. Huge, "comprehensive," bills rarely pass. Clinton tried it and failed. GWB tried it with Social Security and failed. What you should do is break up the healthcare legislation into pieces and pass them one at a time.

The reason they're not doing this is that they/you think that it's now or never, and there is some truth in this. It's not often that one party controls both the WH and has such large majorities in Congress, so the Dems want to go for broke. While I understand this temptation, I don't think it'll work.

remind them, annette, that it is the separation of powers as designated in the Constitution.
Congress enacts laws, the President executes them.
people give too much credit or critisism to any President of the going-ons in Washington.

There is much truth in what you say Tom. The rest I'll address at a later time.

Stay Warm.

I just hope Obama stays strong and ignores the stupid rancor(even 'lil 'ole me has been guilty of). Just seeing that picture makes me want to give him a big hug, glad he has Michelle there at the end of a hard day!

Truth,
I've said this before. As Tom, TRH said, why are you in this fix? Good legislation doesn't need overwhelming majorities to pass. It passes in a bipartisan manner. The Treaty of Versailles didn't pass the Senate. The result of that misguided treaty was WWII. Unintended consequences.

Good day sir.

Obama's Chief of Staff, should take a little more of the heat, Emanuel is as a low profile CoS I can remember, he needs to take a few fast balls for his boss.

the media, in the never ending quest to sell lots of soda and detergent - loves to make one person the celeb of all celebs -- build them up so they can bring them down

thus the highly rated soap opera.

obama is now in that trap - sdaly what is going on in congress shows we have a real dearth of people who actually care about anything other than themselves........

congress has failed america time and time again - only this time i dont think there is much time left

Truth, my biggest complaint is not that he needs to do more, but that he needs to hire different people.

Red: You are overlooking the fact that a lot of Democrats, especially those from the South, are Democrats in name only.

Tomcat is correct. If Obama has to continually intervene in what his employees need to be taking care of, he needs different employees.

Distributor Cap is correct about our society's obsession with celebrity. Tiger Woods will become more popular than ever before we know it because he gave us a scandal.

How much attention did the shoe-bomber get? The dick-bomber has received his 15 minutes of infamy. Everything has to get tightened up, but I'm not sure 'eads should roll. Passengers need to accept involuntary full body scans (FBS). In the day when asshole idiots are willing to shove plastique up their asses (that's next), FBS are mandatory.

I think President Obama has done an Incredible Job when faced with Dick Cheney, his son Liz and all of Fox News calling for his assassination.

We can understand Obama's behavior if we view him as a prisoner of the wealthy establishment. The aristocracy is loosing its grip, papering over the financial mess for instance. While that teeters, we need to be engaged in diffusing the fringe right wing.

The alternative could have been Palin/McCain....

Truth: I was in management for over 20 years and I always hired the BEST people because I was only as good as those who worked for me.

REAL journalism has died, Truth. This is what's left: President Obama walked Beau in the Northeast lawn of the White House this morning. He was wearing a jogging suit and accompained by 3 Secret Service Agents. Why hasn't the President told the Americans why HE'S walking his own dog? Bush didn't walk HIS dog. He had staff to walk Barney!

I'm SO sick of it that I don't want to watch ANY media outlet anymore.
