There are several common traits republicans share. Among these, the sense of entitlement they all feel. And they will resort to any lie they have to in order to justify their entitlement to low taxes, less regulation and screwing the poor and middle class and the planet to justify their entitlement.
Mitt Romney is an excellent example. He thinks he's entitled to his low tax rates and the presidency because he's Mitt Romney; republican.
The republican establishment also feels entitles and they want a fellow entitled guy to be president. One that understands them and how they deserve more goodies and government largess than the 99%. So of course they support Romney.
Trouble is for Romney is that Newt Gingrich thinks he's entitled also. And Newt has even fewer qualms about lying his ass off to get his entitlements than Romney. And as Ronald reagan showed, never let the truth stand in the way of a good lie.
As I and many others have pointed out, should this race continue and no winner come out of it going into the republican convention, Jeb Bush has a chance to be drafted as the republican nominee. And before anyone says he will lose because of George remember this. He will win the South. He is popular among Latino voters so he will win Florida, New Mexico and Arizona. He will also win Nevada. Voters in Ohio and Pennsylvania will vote for him also because that's what they do. Jeb Bush will beat President Obama. If Romney gets the nomination the bigot vote will be split between bigots who hate Blacks more than Mormans and visa versa. Our only sure fire way to victory is if Newt Gingrich is the republican nominee. Only the kooks like Newt.
For this reason I'm seriously considering asking for a republican ballot in this year's primary and voting for Newt Gingrich.
