Will "The Lefty" Hart

It always pains me when good friends and allies argue. That's why I have been distraught at the attacks on fellow left leaning blogger Will "Take No Prisoners" Hart.

Will portrays himself as an independent moderate. Not to be confused with Rational Nation being an independent conservative.

Yet for all his shouts of moderation, the fact is that Will is a lefty. He's pro choice. he's against the Iraq occupation. He supports repeal of the Bush tax cuts. These are not the views of a righty my friends. These are the views of a rational, thinking person. The views of a liberal.

Will can also be naive. He wondered here where all the kooky far right bloggers were. I directed him to American Power where he could witness Professor Douglas and his link list of hundreds of fellow neocon wingnuts. Will said he left a comment but as of yet I haven't seen it on the Nutty Professor's blog. Donald Douglas would never allow a lefty to comment so even he has conceded Will is a liberal.

There is no doubt, Will Hart is a lefty who is afraid to come out of the closet. Will also supports Gay marriage rights.

We must not attack Will, but encourage him to embrace his politicality. Shout to the world that yes. Will Hart is a liberal and proud of it.

Make us all proud Will. We stand with you at your coming out party.

You always make me laugh, my friend. I must admit, though, a picture of Dick Durbin, Kent Conrad, or even Chuck Schumer, would have been preferable.

It's difficult for me Joe to unerstand how any person can be just left or right ... that's just me. I vote Democrat for instance but value thing's from both side's and independent as well.

Rational Nation USA said...

truth - I dropped the Independent Conservative as it seemed to confuse more people tan not, on both sides of the political spectrum. Of course it was the left that was the most confused over the descriptive adjective ;)

I, myself, am a middle of the road leftie. :)

I simply am Truth 101. What we need are less righties and lefties and more Truthies.

RN can be an independent truthie.

And why you so pissy lately RN? It's pick on Will "Lefty Oreilly" week.

Rational Nation USA said...

Truth - Well Truth, I always present the truth. But as truth can be considered a perception (I suppose) guessing the truth is often up for debate. You know, even though there is only one reality people see reality in different shades...

So, I think I'll stick to the Liberty - vs- Tyranny thing thank you.

As to pissy, who knows, maybe it's something in the cheap lefty wine I drank the other day ;)

The GOOD NEWS is ole Barney is finally doing the right thing and packing up and getting out of politics and governance.

Just be happy my Polish vodka company's stock popped today and I was able to sell it before losing my ass. I was going to buy Polish vodka as a Christmas present for everyone.

I guess I'll have to send you a six pack of tasty union brewed beer now RN.

As funny as you are, you're all heart, Joe. I'm glad you posted this because I didn't know the truth about the other Hart. Good to know - and yes, it's time he came out of the closet.

Anon: What's your point? Or, do you have one that's coherent?

Will "take no prisoners" Hart said...

I agree with Ranch Chimp. Ordering the blue-plate special is only something works with the very hardest of the hard-cores. Me, I kind of like this Durbin guy. Yes, he's a liberal Democrat, but he swallowed hard and put his name (one of 11) on the Simpson-Bowles plan because it was good for the country (this, as opposed to it being good for him or his party). That, to me, said a whole hell of a lot.

Will would also be a 99 percenter in good standing except for the fact that he strongly disagrees with the camping in parks and the pooping in the street. In Will Hart's book people practicing civil disobedience need to follow the rules.

Will is so much the Lefty that he's decided he isn't voting for Obama. He's going to vote for someone more progressive... "friend of the 99 percent movement" Michael Bloomberg.

Regarding the picture, I'm positive Will is extremely sad Barney Frank is retiring. Fellow Liberal Barney Frank is a personal hero of Will Hart. I recommend everyone visit the Will Hart Blog... where you will find many, many posts in which Will praises Representative Frank. All of us on the Left will miss him.

Will said he left a comment but as of yet I haven't seen it on the Nutty Professor's blog. Sounds like proof positive to me.

Will, there are different levels of liberalism dude. No one is saying you are a socialist like me fer chrissakes...unless of course you are on a rightwing nutter site. Those fuckers call anyone left of Palin a socialist usually.

Dusty,Hells most vocal Bitch said...

Oh and Will, Reagan was left of Palin btw. ;-) Seriously, he was.

Rational Nation USA said...

Under Reagan taxes even went up.

The problem with many (if not most) socialists, just like many (if not most) fringe right wing folks (I believe socialists often refer to them as "Reichwingers") is their inability to recognize and acknowledge the cogent points each occasionally offer up.

Oh well, as they say, it is what it is.

My dad is still pretty tight with Durbin. he was one of Durbin's campaign managers when Durbin first ran for Congress against the kook Paul Findley.

Durbin even stayed with us when he was working our end of the district. Real nice guy. he and my Mom lectured me on the importance of going to church when I decided fishing was more spiritual one Sunday.

Rational Nation USA said...

Spiritual is as spiritual does. To crib Forest Gump.

sue hanes said...

Joe - I couldn't sit still long enough for church or fishing.

Either way I'd just rock the boat.

Bloomberg took a lot of heat from the right for not responding to the deteriorating conditions in the park earlier. He also took a lot of heat for full-throatedly standing behind the N.Y.C. mosque (this, as opposed to Obama who backtracked). The guy has a boatload of money - who fucking cares! Kerry has a lot of money (actually, his wife does), Pelosi has a lot of money (some of which she's apparently gotten from insider trading), the Kennedys had a lot of money. What, we're not allowed to like somebody because they're wealthy? What kind of an idiotic criteria is that (Trump I don't like not because he's wealthy but because he's a lunatic)?

Truth 101 said...

Well Will. It's like Jesus said. "It's easier for a rich man to get on a camel and pass through the eye of a needle than to pass through the gates of Heaven.

Unless he reads Truth 101."

Salvation is yours Will.

Now Joe - if you are going to quote Jesus let's get it right.

Nothing makes me madder than when people misquote Jesus.

Verily I say unto thee; Love God above all else. And read Truth 101.

There. Happy now?

sue hanes said...

Yes Joe I am.

And I do on both counts.

Will "take no prisoners" Hart said...

I have it from a good source that the fine Mr. Bloomberg in fact DOES read Truth 101 and apparently enjoys it immensely.

w-dervish said...

Will: What, we're not allowed to like somebody because they're wealthy?

I wonder who Will thinks said (implied?) this. I don't see that anyone wrote anything suggesting this, so what the heck is Will talking about?????

Truth 101 said...

Will's been busy defending his leftist beliefs all over the place WD. He's probably confusedas to where he's at these days.

Will "take no prisoners" Hart said...

wd, you made a snide comment about Mr. Bloomberg being a part of the 1% (as if guys like Michael Moore aren't). And just on this thread, you said, "friend of the 99% movement Michael Bloomberg."......And, just for the record, Bloomberg and his deputy, Howard Wolfson, both said that the protesters could protest til their hearts content. They just couldn't camp out in the park. What in the hell is wrong with that?

sue hanes said...

Hey Joe - check out my really cool post in a while about Christmas cookies.

I'm sure you can find one for the wife to make - and Dudley can eat himself fatter on.

w-dervish said...

Will: What in the hell is wrong with that?

Here is what the hell is wrong with that...

[1] NY judge Lucy Billings issued a temporary restraining order allowing protesters to return to Zuccotti Park only hours after police forcibly removed them... the order said the city and... the owners of Zuccotti Park would be prohibited from evicting protesters or enforcing rules published after the occupation began or otherwise preventing protesters from re-entering the park with tents and other property previously utilized.

Bloomberg judge-shopped and got the ruling reversed.

[2] The NYPD blocked credentialed media from filming and taking pictures. ... When reporters tried to get the story, some were roughed up and arrested.

[3] Police threw Occupy patriots belongings in the trash (what the hell?).

Bloomberg and Michael Moore are both in the 1 percent, but Michael Moore fights for the 99 percent while Bloomberg does not. My comment had nothing to do with how much money either of these fellows have.

A true Lefty would never support Bloomberg's disgraceful eviction of Occupy Wall Street, IMO.

Will "take no prisoners" Hart said...

Billings is a disgrace, saying that the owners of the park couldn't evict whoever they wanted from their own frigging park. The park is for everybody and for the protesters to turn it into their own frigging backyard and make it so others couldn't enjoy it was disgraceful.............As for Mr. Bloomberg, the man has raised taxes repeatedly and increased education spending repeatedly. He is hardly a person looking out only for the rich (though, yes, I do agree with you on the media ban).

Will "take no prisoners" Hart said...

Oh, and a note to Michael Moore, the next time that you do an anti-capitalist propaganda film, you might not want to have it bankrolled by Goldman Sachs, buy a second million dollar home in an all white community, etc.. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/11/04/gavin-polone-rips-michael-moore_n_1076599.html

And at least Mr. Bloomberg hasn't made his money via insider trading, a la stooges like Nancy Pelosi and John Boehner.

Will: [Nancy Pelosi] made... money via insider trading...

Give me a break Will! The source of these accusations is a new book by proven Rightwing liar Peter Schweizer. Pelosi correctly describes Schweizer as a "discredited conservative author who has made a career out of attacking Democrats".

Nancy Pelosi supports The "Stock Act" (Stop Trading on Congressional Knowledge Act), a piece of legislation sponsored by Rep. Louise Slaughter (D-N.Y.) and Tim Walz (D-Minn.), that would ban lawmakers and federal workers from trading on non-public information they’ve obtained through their jobs.

John Boehner, on the other hand, expresses doubts regarding whether legislation banning the practice is needed, saying, "...the House and the Securities and Exchange Commission already have clear guidelines on the issue".

sue hanes said...

Shaw,
"I support Truthiness!"

when force is needed to apply an ideology truth flies out of the window.

truth is one of those concepts that will not support the use of force. it must be known and accepted through a willing and consensual basis.

the use of force is counterproductive to truth.

Will "take no prisoners" Hart said...

You have a lot of balls, wd. Peter Schweizer (a person who has written for NUMEROUS publications) leaves out ONE mildly mitigating factor that he apparently didn't know about and you slander him. But this Gary Sick fellow who relied almost entirely on heresay/dubious sources (many of which he didn't even interview! LOL) and who sold the rights to his book to Oliver Stone - that frigging asshole you DO believe. LOL............And, just for the record, Mr. Schweizer included just as many Republicans in his book and it was also deemed worthy enough that a legendary reporter, Steve Croft, utilized it in his "60 Minutes" piece. Gary Sick, not so much.

Will "take no prisoners" Hart said...

Of course, Pelosi supports the legislation. After all of the negative publicity that's been justifiably heaped upon her, she'd be an idiot not to.
